Application for Exemption from Residence Violation Fines in the UAE

The UAE Ministry of Justice has made it possible to submit an application for exemption from paying residence violation fines, whether the request is for Dubai, Sharjah, or Abu Dhabi.

Steps to Submit the Request

  1. Access the official page of the UAE Ministry of Justice.
  2. Go to Electronic Services, then to the Services Directory.
  3. Log in using your digital ID. If you do not have an account, create a new one.
  4. Submit the application for exemption from paying residence violation fines in the UAE electronically through the Electronic Case Registration System.
  5. Attach all supporting documents and evidence for the application.
  6. Obtain the exemption request.

Alternative Submission through General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs

You can also submit an exemption request through the main page of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs by following these steps:

  1. Access the main page of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs.
  2. Go to the Services Directory.
  3. Click on the option for Violators’ Affairs.
  4. Go to Residence Violators’ Fines for Foreigners.
  5. Fill in the required information for the exemption request.
  6. Attach all supporting documents for the application.
  7. Pay the required fees.
  8. Click on Submit the Application.

Direct Submission at Amer Service Center

In any case, you can submit the exemption request directly by visiting the Amer Service Center and following these steps:

  1. Go to the nearest Customer Happiness Center.
  2. Obtain an automatic waiting ticket.
  3. Submit the exemption request for violation fines.
  4. Attach all necessary documents and evidence to the request.
  5. The customer service employee will receive your request.
  6. You will need to pay the service fees, if any.
